Latest news on 28 August 2018 - UPSC CMS result and score card released now - The good news is that Union Public Service Commission has declared the scorecard of combined medical service examination 2017 held on 13th August 2017 on official website.
The final result of combined medal domination 2017 has been declared on 23rd December 2017 and reserve list of this examination has been released on 27th August 2018. UPSC CMS Scorecard out of 600 marks with non stick minded candidate list to have attended interview but did not get qualified have been provided here.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had released latest notification advertisement no. No.14/1/2014-E.I (B) for recruitment of 1402 posts of Medical officers in the various departments. UPSC invited online application from 14^th March 2014 to28^th April 2015 for eligible candidates who had Passed MBBS Degree from any recognized university. The written examination for Combined Medical Service for two objective papers will be conducted in Computer based mode. UPSC MO Recruitment 2015 – Exam Syllabus, Exam Pattern & Selection Process

The Final Selection of the candidates will be done based on performance in Physical Standards, Medical Standards and Written Examination.

1^st Stage – Written Examination

The written examination will be Computer Based Examination of 500 marks. The candidates will take the Computer based examination in two Papers, each Paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks. Each Paper will be of two hours duration. Paper I (Code No.1) will be of 250 Marks. The question will come from General Ability (30 questions), General Medicine (70 questions) & Paediatrics (20 questions). Paper II (Code No. 2) will be of 250 Marks. Paper II will contain questions of Surgery (40 questions), Gynaecology & Obstetrics (40 questions) & Preventive & Social Medicine (40 questions).

2^nd Stage – Personal Interview

The qualified candidates will be called for Personality Test of 100 Marks. Personality test carrying 100 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the results of the Computer based examination. Candidates who qualify in the Computer based examination will be called for Interview/Personality Test to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The Interview/ Personality Test will carry 100 marks. The interview for Personality Test will be intended to serve as a supplement to the Computer based examination for testing the General Knowledge and ability of the candidates in the fields of their academic study and also in the nature of a personality test to assess the candidate's intellectual curiosity, critical powers of assimilation, balance of judgment and alertness of mind, ability for social cohesion, integrity of character, initiative and capability for leadership.
